New Commissions for Soloists
Dr Nicholas Childs and two Black Dyke soloists have commissioned new pieces for 2008…
Paul Lovatt-Cooper has been commissioned to compose two pieces, one for flugal soloist John Doyle and one for the new soprano player Paul Duffy. The pieces will be finished in spring 2008 and will be used in Black Dykes concert programmes. The piece for John will also be recorded on his solo CD which will be released later in 2008.
