Composition - Apolonia

Commissioned by the Coalburn Brass Band Family in memory of Beth Damer       Section: 4+

Paul Lovatt-Cooper was commissioned to write a musical tribute to Beth Damer, a cherished member of the Coalburn Brass Band Family who tragically passed away just days prior to her 21st birthday in 2022.
Apolonia was premiered by the Coalburn Brass Band Family in March 2024 conducted by Paul. In August, The National Youth Brass Band of Scotland Reserve Band also performed this uplifting piece inspired by Beth’s love of musical theatre.
